Pink blush, blue veins
Pink blush, blue veins is a still life which is simultaneously a painting and an installation. The painting is a world within which nothing is real and all is pretense, and this time you are invited to step in. The work deals with the deceptive nature of man-made surroundings and the staging of existence. With theatrical efforts the paintings try to escape the platitudes of their two dimensions and appropriate themselves to the space. In several attempts the works propose different directions and construct a fragmented view of other worlds and times, however time does not run in a straight line but in a tangle, and at this point of intervention it’s all muddled up.
